Job DescriptionThe Regional Account Manager will be responsible for expanding Clean Earth's business within assigned territories. This position aims to achieve sales goals through acquiring new customers, developing existing accounts, and increasing revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain current customers and acquire new ones by meeting or exceeding sales targets, account retention objectives, and customer service expectations.
- Build relationships with current customers, growing revenue and profits through service changes and price increases.
- Communicate regulatory compliance issues to customers.
- Implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profits through existing customer maintenance and penetration.
- Resolve problems and coordinate customer needs with Field Operations and Customer Service groups.
- Work as a liaison between customers and accounts payable departments for receivable collection.
- Assist with coordinating regional and national account sales activities.
- Sell in a consultative manner, articulating the company value proposition and benefits of working with Clean Earth over traditional waste services companies.
- Create presentations for key sales customers and prospects.
- Develop and execute sales objectives, territory, and account selling strategies.
- Complete territory routing plans, forecasts, and customer business reviews.
- Develop account-specific strategies and plans to win national and regional opportunities in the manufacturing and industrial market space.
- Provide management with information used to evaluate regional and national opportunities.
- Promote customer brand loyalty by participating in professional organizations serving the regional marketplace and consumers.
- Make daily calls on new prospects within targeted territories, identifying leads via various sources.
- Monitor and communicate sales performance against goals through approved metrics.
- This role combines hunter and farmer sales responsibilities, managing a book of business while driving territory growth through new business prospects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Marketing, or Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in outside sales and selling outsourced services to the manufacturing and industrial market or related industries.
- 5+ years of sales experience managing multiple accounts.
- Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, DEA regulatory environment.
- Background/experience within waste management/environmental services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
- Experience managing a territory with a proven track record of sales success.
- Self-directed with ability to work on multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated established relationships or ability to establish relationships within C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing functions within the retail and manufacturing industries.
- Up to 50% travel by car, possible overnight, and weekend travel.
- Must own a reliable automobile, have a valid driver's license, and maintain minimum required insurance coverage.
