Job Overview
We are looking for a full-time Irrigation Leading Hand based in the Sunraysia region, VIC. You will work closely with the Irrigation Controller and be responsible for day‑to‑day irrigation operations.
This hands‑on role offers coaching by experienced leaders and the opportunity to broaden your skills in monitoring soil moisture, maintaining irrigation equipment and infrastructure, and managing a small team. The role comes with a work phone, competitive salary and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in irrigation, fertilizer and maintenance program requirements.
- Lead a small team of irrigation hands.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure timelines and scoped works are met.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the efficient and timely delivery of water and fertilizer to the orchards.
- Maintain irrigation equipment and ensure timely service and repairs of the irrigation system.
- Identify and report issues and undertake corrective measures.

- Previous experience working on a farm with leadership experience, and knowledge of drip irrigation systems, system design and function.
