About the Role

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. Role Overview: To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and communication skills to enable you to work effectively with others. Within this role, you will work independently and within a team environment. The role undertakes a range of general cleaning tasks to maintain dormitories, offices and general overnight accommodation areas to a satisfactory standard. Tasks could include but are not limited to: dusting; vacuuming; mopping; polishing; rubbish removal; replenishing bathroom amenities; sweeping paths and walkways and stock control duties. Other related duties of the role, within the skills and competencies of the Housekeeper Room Attendant, as directed by the Business Services Manager.

Hurlstone Agricultural High School (HAHS) is the only NSW government coeducational selective agricultural High School with boarding facility and large school farm. There are 935 students enrolled, with new boarding accommodation for at least 180 students, and a large multi-enterprise farm. HAHS is five minutes drive from the M5 entry/exit and 250 metres walk from Glenfield train station. It borders the Hume Highway M5 on the western side, residential homes on the north farm boundary, and adjoins the NSW Transport boundary on the eastern and southern sides.

Special Notes

NOTE: Several positions available. All positions are part-time temporary for 12 months (8.30am - 2.30pm Daily) with the possibility for an extension or offer for possible ongoing employment.

Essential Requirements

- Must be able to perform rostered weekend shifts;
- Able to handle the physical requirements of the role such as walking distances, climbing internal stairs, emptying bins, and carry mop buckets.
