Salary: $85,610 – $124,016 per annum (pro‑rata) (SEA GA 2023)

The School

Kiara College is a vibrant independent public school on the western edge of the Swan Valley. The school has a working farm on site and offers state‑of‑the‑art facilities in Performing Arts, Agriculture, STEM, and a specialist programs in Agriculture and Basketball. The college’s culturally responsive ethos nurtures personal development and lifelong learning for a diverse student body of over 640 students, including more than 30% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The Role

The successful applicant will plan, design and deliver learning programs that improve outcomes for all students, including those with diverse learning needs. Key responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering Year 11 and 12 Applied Information Technology, and optionally Senior ICT courses.

- Developing and delivering curriculum across the Digital Technologies domain, with the capacity to design electives for Years 9 and 10 (e.g., graphics, animation, game design, robotics).

- Using assessment data to inform instruction and provide appropriate differentiation.

- Engaging in reflective practice and coaching activities to support professional growth.

- Fostering a student‑ and relationship‑focused learning environment and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

- Holding an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

- Eligibility to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or visa with work rights).

- Experience in teaching ICT/Computing at secondary level preferred.

- Preference for candidates holding a Cert IV in Training & Assessment or willing to undertake it.

- Clear WA Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check.
