Estimator - Commercial Landscape Construction

A reputable commercial landscape and civil contractor are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team working on projects across Greater Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of detailed and accurate estimates for commercial landscape and civil projects

- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from tender documents to develop Bills of Quantities using Excel and Cunit, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

- Prepare and manage trade packages, including soliciting, comparing and analysing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to identify the most cost-effective solutions

- Develop tender schedules tailored to each project's specifications, including site management plans, traffic management plans and construction methodologies, in collaboration with project teams

- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure tenders are prepared and submitted accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

- Extensive experience interpreting drawings and technical details for commercial landscape and civil projects

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel for preparing complex tender documentation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare compelling presentations and reports

- High-level competency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and 3D software such as SketchUp

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify cost‑saving opportunities and innovative approaches
