In this Associate Director role, reporting into the Director, CME, you will:
1. Manage the larger and more complex transactions within the CME Directorship alongside the Senior Associates and Associates/Analysts.
2. Provide input and support on structuring transactions, preparing credit submissions, employing and overseeing financial modelling where required, and making recommendations on transactions to credit.
3. Drive transactions forward whilst engaging multiple stakeholders including the Client Coverage bankers, Credit Risk Partners, Product Partners, and client support teams to achieve a seamless client experience.
4. Oversee the risk profile and monitoring and compliance requirements of each client portfolio within the Directorship, ensuring portfolio hygiene is maintained to a very high standard.
5. Manage workflow proactively and effectively between Client Coverage, CME, Product Specialists, Credit, and client support teams to meet transaction timelines.
6. Contribute to and maintain oversight of portfolio maintenance activities including portfolio administration, monitoring of facility documentation, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of system data.
7. Exercise assigned Delegated Credit Authority ("DCA"), making astute decisions and recommendations based upon commercial knowledge and experience whilst abiding by NAB's policy requirements.
8. Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings to support business outcomes whilst managing portfolios.
9. Provide regular guidance/coaching to Senior Associates, Associates, and Analysts within the team.
10. Identify and embed process changes to drive continuous improvement and process efficiency.
What you'll bring:
1. Demonstrated extensive experience working in a similar role within the Corporate & Institutional Banking market.
2. Strong skills in credit writing, transaction and loan structuring, financial analysis, and modelling.
3. Significant experience in negotiating and executing loan and security documentation for complex, multi-financier credit exposures.
4. Commercially astute, with an awareness of industry and market risk-related issues (including legislation, etc.).
5. Exceptional communication, relationship management, and leadership skills.
6. Proven ability in strategic planning, workflow management, and execution skills.
7. Tertiary qualifications, typically in commerce, business, finance, or related discipline.
8. Professional or Postgraduate qualifications preferred (generally CA, CPA, MBA, or Masters).
