Overview MEGT, in partnership with a leading upholstery specialist, are seeking a 1st Year Upholstery Apprentice This is an exciting chance to kickstart your career in a creative, hands-on trade. You/'ll work with a supportive team, learning how to restore and create quality pieces for healthcare, hospitality, and retail centres. From working with fabrics and leathers to shaping foams and frames, you/'ll gain the skills to turn ideas into finished products that people use every day. If you/'re ready for a fresh new opportunity and enjoy working with your hands, this is the perfect way to begin your career in upholstery. The Opportunity Your duties will include. - Create, repair, and reupholster furniture for healthcare, hospitality, and retail environments. - Select, measure, and cut durable materials such as vinyl, polyester blends, and specialty fabrics. - Custom design and fit new upholstery pieces to meet client specifications. - Restore and refurbish existing items for restaurants, offices, and hospitals. - Operate hand tools, sewing machines, and cutting equipment safely and accurately. - Maintain upholstery pieces through regular repairs, cleaning, and adjustments to extend product life.
