About the role

As our next Loader Operator to proudly represent our Production Mining Team, you will take on challenges and thrive on the variety of work available. You are a passionate and energetic person who values responsibility, recognition and reward.

- 2:2 (7D7N14RR) FIFO Perth to Iron Bridge Mine
- Salary sacrifice options available for applicants outside WA
- BIBO available for Port Hedland residents
- Permanent full-time role with development and upskilling opportunities

In this role, you will:

- Operate machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to maximise output
- Comply with Thiess’ policies and procedures
- Respond to instructions from Mining Supervisor
- Maintain floor levels
- Minimise dilution and achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances
- Maintain stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure safe and efficient flow
- Operate, drive and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads
- Set and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Carry out pre-start checks

About you

- 3 years plus experience operating a CAT 994 Loader in a production mining operation, including loading at the ROM
- Equivalent experience in Komatsu WA1200, Le Tourneau 1850
- Possess strong mining operational skills and demonstrate ability in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration
- Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
