Join the team. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customer Insights Specialist to join us on a 6 month fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for stakeholder management to understand overall information and insights needs and preparing individual market research briefs. You will develop the Customer Insights plan for stakeholders and programs under management ensuring the plan meets the stakeholder needs; also required to develop plan to budget and ensure budget is adhered to.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Customer Insights Specialist working for Kmart you will:

- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand customer insights needs, surface current insights and brief agencies on project requirements

- Interpret research results, including internal customer analytics data and other secondary data sources and develop customer insights and commercial opportunities

- Manage agencies to complete projects/broader programs that are delivered on time, to specification and within budget; including analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative research to ensure it identifies insights and commercial opportunities

- Ensure that strategic business decisions are based on customer insights that are ‘correctly’ interpreted and applied; champion customer centric changes the team haven’t acted upon.

- Communicate research results to internal stakeholders

- Manage projects on time and to specification

To be successful in this role you’ll have

- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role or field

- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders successfully as well as the ability to translate data into actionable insights

- Experience leveraging internal BI dashboards as well as building bespoke analysis via excel

- Understanding of the retail industry and retail operations

- High level of attention to detail, while keeping the big picture in mind

- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

- Research experience is desirable however training will be provided to the right candidate
