About the Role

Our State Government client is seeking Payroll Officers to join their team in the Adelaide CBD. Reporting to the Operational Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll for SA Ambulance Service and SA Health employees. This includes updates to employee records, new contracts and variations.

The role is highly structured and is best suited to those who enjoy routine, accuracy, and detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately administer payroll files and related processes.

- Enter and update master data, code timesheets, and process leave applications.

- Investigate and resolve pay-related queries by email and telephone.

- Contribute to team deadlines required on daily and fortnightly basis.

Candidate Profile

- Demonstrated reliability and strong attention to detail.

- High-volume data entry and typing skills with speed and accuracy.

- Ability to focus on routine tasks and maintain consistency under pressure.

- Experience with payroll systems (Chris21 desirable) and Microsoft Office suite.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to adapt to structured processes and manage competing priorities.

- Comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume environment.

A current National Police Clearance issued within the last 12 months is a mandatory requirement of this role.
