About the Role:

We’re looking for a Boilermaker to join our team based at Bowen Hills, with regular travel required to regional QLD. You’ll work on Queensland Rail’s passenger rollingstock, undertaking scheduled maintenance, repairs, and fabrication or modification of components.

This role will involve both workshop and outdoor environments, requiring physical fitness to handle equipment and various types of terrain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform welding, and fabrication tasks on railway rollingstock, sub-assemblies, and steel or metal components.
- Use various welding and fabrication tools and techniques for structural repairs and modifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics to fabricate or repair components and resolve issues.

What You’ll Bring:

- Trade-qualified mechanical fitter or equivalent
- MIG/ARC Welding experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Continuing commitment to a Zero Harm workplace
