HSE Business Partner
Our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Norwich, is currently seeking a HSE Business Partner to join their highly reputable company. This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, based in Wroxham.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001/45001
- Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to production/manufacturing environment
- NEBOSH general certificate, IOSH, or other H&S industry-recognised qualification
- Understanding of production of yachts or similar large products with long build times (preferable)
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Presentation skills, including preparation and delivery of PowerPoint presentations to various audiences
- Experience in an HSE advisory or partnering role within the production/manufacturing industry, preferably marine
- Partnering with management teams on HSE compliance and best practices
- Conducting audits and developing action plans
- Training planning, organisation, and delivery
- Knowledge of RIDDOR regulations
- Managing third-party suppliers
- Display Screen Equipment assessments
- Occupational Health Surveillance related to production workforce
- Experience with HAVS and COSHH management (desirable)
Main Responsibilities of the HSE Business Partner Role:
- Serve as a single point of contact for all HSE issues, providing competent advice in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies
- Document and track accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate remedial actions and learning
- Conduct regular risk assessments, reviewing and updating as necessary
- Maintain and monitor KPIs for health, safety, and environmental performance
- Ensure compliance with statutory, mandatory, and company training requirements, tracking and reporting accordingly
- Maintain and develop the HSE training matrix
- Create, update, and review company policies, procedures, and processes related to HSE
- Lead fire drills, marshalling, and training as applicable
- Organise and deliver induction training
- Manage external HSE specialists and consultants
- Collaborate with HR on workforce health, safety, and well-being initiatives
- Conduct HSE audits, collate findings, recommend improvements, and work with management on corrective actions
- Stay informed about relevant HSE and welfare legislation and communicate changes to the business
