Technical Support Analyst – Contract Role

- Drummoyne, Sydney Inner West
- Initial 4-month contract (22 Sept 2025 – 6 Feb 2026) with likely extension (6–9 months)
- 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, excluding breaks)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Analyst to join our Digital Business Solutions team within Corporate Services & Strategy. This is a hands-on application support role with a strong focus on TechnologyOne ERP and related Council applications. You will play a key role in ensuring application stability, resolving incidents, and supporting integrations while working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and the ICT team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 2–3 support for Council’s ERP and software applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Monitor application performance and reliability, implementing proactive measures to minimise downtime.
- Respond to incidents promptly, escalating and tracking complex issues through to resolution.
- Support, develop, and troubleshoot RPA and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, ICT teams, and external vendors to deliver effective solutions.
- Deliver end-user training, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Provide reporting and insights on application performance and incidents.

About You

You will bring:

- 3+ years’ experience in application production support or a related role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications and databases.
- Proficiency in SQL queries for analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with REST API and JSON integrations.
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with RPA / ETL tools.
- Understanding of IT service management (ITIL) principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft) are highly regarded.
- Experience in local government operations, policies, and regulations will be highly desirable.
