Job Description
About the opportunity
Due to growth in the team, we are seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join our team, working on civil engineering design while providing advisory services. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of integrated water projects and enjoy true variety in your work. This role will see you:
- Being recognised as a technical lead on complex, multi-disciplinary land development projects and contributing a high degree of quality engineering solutions
- Deliver design projects such as waterway design, stormwater harvesting schemes, wetlands, and retarding basins
- Contribute to stormwater management plans and water strategy, influencing outcomes and challenging industry status-quo.
- Mentoring and developing graduates and junior engineers, fostering a strong professional development culture

About you
First and foremost, you share our passion for achieving the best project outcomes through collaboration and inclusive teamwork. You are a seasoned Engineer with a proven track record successfully delivering land development projects and associated infrastructure, ready to take on a technical lead role. You will come to us with:
- Experience in design of urban drainage design, WSUD, flood management and waterway assets, dams and alternative water systems.
- Proficient in a variety software, including several of the following: AutoCAD, 12d, MUSIC, RORB, TUFLOW, DRAINS, and HECRAS.
- A keen interest in stormwater / integrated water management planning, and designs of assets that deliver great community outcomes.
- Previous experience leading, developing and/or mentoring project teams and individuals.
- A passion for teamwork and collaboration; fostering a multidisciplinary approach to projects.
- Previous experience with water authorities, local council or water corporations will be highly regarded.
