The Business

Our client is a national organisation supporting a network of independently owned businesses across the foodservice and hospitality sector. With a strong reputation for partnership, commercial support, and value delivery, they play a pivotal role in helping members grow sustainably and competitively in a dynamic market.

Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a commercially minded and analytically driven Snr/Category Manager to join the team and support members with insights, analysis, and value-adding recommendations.

The Role

This role is all about delivering actionable insights that improve commercial outcomes for members. It's a hands-on, data-led position where you'll help identify opportunities in product and portfolio mix, assess the impact of member initiatives, and support new member integration.

Working closely with the executive leadership team and Partner Engagement group, you'll help shape supplier negotiations, track market trends, and act as a key advisor to members seeking sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse member data to provide insights on product mix, portfolio opportunities, and commercial performance.
- Develop tools, reports, and frameworks that help members make effective business decisions.
- Support negotiations with service providers and assess ROI for various membership programs.
- Partner with internal teams to maximise the impact of marketing, operational, and support initiatives.
- Monitor local and global foodservice industry trends to keep members informed and competitive.
- Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with members, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

About You

- Degree-qualified in Business, Commerce, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with a track record of deriving insights from complex data.
- Background in FMCG, foodservice, logistics, or food procurement is highly regarded.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally experienced in using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics desirable).
- Comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders – from frontline operators to executives.
- Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and passionate about supporting businesses to grow.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
