Middle Primary - Classroom Teacher

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the Western Australian Curriculum, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), Health, and Design Technologies. The role involves planning, preparing, and implementing engaging lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students.

Selection Criteria

To successful applicant will:

- Hold a valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia, demonstrating a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in the Junior Primary years.
- Experience in planning and delivering high-quality Junior Primary programs, with a focus on English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, and the Arts.
- Possess excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of students of differing ability levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of an independent/private school, along with the ability to inspire and engage students in their learning.

Essential Criteria

- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair.
- Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
- Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies.
- Possession of the following certifications:
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate
