Senior Site Manager – Responsibilities

- Supervise and oversee the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs

- Liaise with the client, other construction professionals and sometimes members of the public

- Coordinate and supervise construction workers

- Make safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety

- Check and prepare site reports, designs and drawings

- Maintain quality control procedures

- Find ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up

- Assess and minimise risk

- Write reports and keep on top of paperwork

- Help to negotiate contracts and secure permits and licences

- Enjoy a culture that rewards initiative, collaboration, and long‑term career growth

Attributes

- Ideally a Construction Management degree or equivalent tertiary qualification

- Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for an established construction company

- High rise project experience is extremely attractive

- Ability to manage a team of Contract Administrators and supervisorsCommercially astute

- Ability to effectively manage Industrial Relations
