About the Opportunity

The Director Business Services is a strategic leader with a passion for driving organisational effectiveness and fostering a safe, inclusive workplace. The role will lead the corporate and administrative support functions for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and is responsible for all employees in roles of a non-legal nature. Working closely with the Executive Director, Operations, the role will implement practices and processes that enhance the ODPP’s ability to deliver an efficient and effective prosecution service.

As a key member of the ODPP Executive, the role will collaborate with the executive group and managers and is the key interface between the legal and non-legal roles, functions, and work practices and procedures across the ODPP.

About the Business

The ODPP is an office of approximately 200 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
