Environmental Graduate

Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine is in its 25th year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. We’re looking for a passionate Environmental Graduate (1st or 2nd year) to join our Graduate Program. This is a hands-on opportunity to launch your career in the mining industry while making a meaningful impact on how we manage our environment, sustainability, and cultural heritage responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Exposed To

As part of the Environmental Team, you’ll have the opportunity to support and learn across areas such as:

- Assisting with the Environmental Management System.
- Exposure to the Biodiversity Offset Management Plan, including conservation and rehabilitation projects.
- Supporting cultural heritage liaison and management.
- Assisting with the Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan (PRCP) and learning how rehabilitation commitments are delivered.
- Helping with Annual Environmental Calendar tasks.
- Supporting government reporting requirements, such as ROWIT, NGERs and NPI.
- Exposure to groundwater and surface water monitoring programs.
- Learning through mentoring, coaching and on-the-job training from experienced professionals.
