The Role 🥳

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our mission-critical Enterprise team in Sydney. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling Relevance AI’s platform for our largest customers — ensuring it’s secure, reliable, and extensible for enterprise-scale use.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver enterprise-grade features such as SSO, RBAC/permissions, audit logs, and compliance tooling. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, owning projects end-to-end, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.

Your Impact 💥

- Design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade features such as SSO, RBAC/permissions, audit logs, compliance tooling, and data visibility.

- Contribute to key reliability, scalability, and performance initiatives that make our platform ready for enterprise adoption.

- Collaborate closely with product and go-to-market teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions that deliver real value.

- Take ownership of projects from design to deployment — ensuring code quality, maintainability, and security.

- Work across the stack, from backend APIs to frontend interfaces, within a modern TypeScript-based environment.

- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions, helping shape how the platform evolves as we scale.

- Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and help raise the bar for technical excellence within the team.

Our Tech Stack (so far) 💻

We leverage a modern, scalable, and developer-friendly technology stack to build robust web applications:

- Frontend: Vue.js, Nuxt, Typescript

- Backend: Express.js, Node.js, Typescript

- Database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL

- Cloud & Deployment: Vercel, AWS

Experience with React or strong transferable backend experience is also valued.

What We’re Looking For 🧠

- 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth tech environments building products that service Enterprise customers.

- Experience delivering enterprise features such as SSO, permissions systems, audit logs, or compliance frameworks.

- Strong skills in modern web technologies, ideally TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

- Experience working with APIs (REST or GraphQL) and distributed systems.

- Passion for designing and building scalable and fault-tolerant systems for real-world users in enterprise environments.

- Ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, and commercial teams - translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

- Ownership mindset — proactive in driving projects, solving problems, and improving systems.

- Passion for AI and eagerness to build innovative, category-defining products.

- Regularly use AI tools and technologies to improve workflow and productivity.

Bonus Points if You Have Any Of The Following ⭐

- Understanding of large scale per-customer deployments (including on-premise and cloud).

- Knowledge of FGA/ RBAC access controls, AWS infrastructure, SSO/ OAuth systems, and platform analytics.
