Overview

Plant Operator – Location: Smithfield, SA
Hours: Monday to Friday, Casual Full-Time Hours
Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour + super + RDO

About the Role

The Plant Operator plays an important role within the Cemetery Operations Team. This position is responsible for delivering civil works such as excavation, preparing burial sites, and performing general grounds maintenance duties.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Safely operate a range of civil construction plant equipment such as excavators, loaders and backhoes as well operating gardening equipment
- Undertake routine maintenance and inspections to ensure plant and equipment is in good working order
- Support the delivery of civil works projects such as site assessment, preparation, excavation, tablet placement and landscaping
- Respond to emergency repairs and site remediation as required
- Response to visitor queries in a sympathetic manner

What You’ll Need

- Current Driver’s License and transport
- Plant machinery tickets (Excavator, Front Loader)
- Previous experience in civil grounds and plant operation
- White Card (Construction Industry Card)
- National Police Check (Or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift License (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to undergo a medical assessment
