About the Role

The Deputy Principal works closely with the Principal to support the smooth and effective operation of the school, leading key areas including:

- Catholic identity and faith formation
- Community and family engagement
- Leadership, staffing and professional learning
- Learning and teaching excellence
- Student wellbeing and safety
- School improvement and strategic planning

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Catholic identity of the school through coordination of prayer, liturgy and high-quality Religious Education.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and staff, and contribute to the school’s presence in the wider community.
- Lead and support staff in effective learning and teaching, including curriculum development, data use and high-impact instructional practices.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, professional learning and CRT management, and assist with whole-school planning and improvements.
- Coordinate assessment and reporting processes to support consistent and effective practices across the school.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment by contributing to student and staff wellbeing and providing social-emotional and behavioural support when needed.
