Overview
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Field Service Supervisor is accountable for the ownership of the customer experience by providing the complete customer care experience regarding WesTrac service, repair and general service provision queries in relation to the allocated area of service/equipment.
This position is open to both FIFO and residential candidates. For those choosing to live locally in Kalgoorlie, WesTrac offers a Residential allowance, making it a compelling opportunity for candidates seeking lifestyle balance and long-term community living.
Roster
Roster: Option to choose from 9Days on 5Days off or 10Days on 4Days off 12.5 hours per day (including unpaid meal breaks)

Kalgoorlie – residential or FIFO ex Perth
What you’ll do
- Supervise a team of 12+ technicians and apprentices, ensuring high-quality service repairs and aftermarket support for ultra-class mining, BCI, and underground equipment
- Manage work order scheduling, execution, and compliance with WesTrac and Caterpillar standards
- Provide customer warranty support, liaising with clients to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships
- Champion safety by enforcing OH&S protocols and conducting risk assessments
- Use CAT systems (SIS) and Microsoft Suite (Excel proficiency) to oversee job tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Foster a high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and leadership
Skills and Experience
- Qualified Heavy Duty (HD) trade professional with extensive supervisory experience in mechanical or dealership settings
- Proven leadership in similar industries, with the ability to inspire, motivate and guide high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of OH&S protocols and risk assessments, ensuring safety in high-risk environments
- Skilled in managing dynamic workloads and competing priorities through effective planning and time management
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-first mindset
- Technically proficient in computer systems for job tracking, reporting, and service coordination
