The Role
In this Senior Accountant position, you will oversee (but not directly manage) the finance department and report directly to a talented Finance Manager. This is a broad, hands-on Senior Accountant position and your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Mentor and be the point of contact for two team members
- Taking ownership of the regional function which will include full P&L management
- Analyse sales data and summarise financial information to prepare interim management reports and trial balances
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 Lease Accounting
- Support the Financial Manager in fulfilling all financial and statutory reporting requirements
- Oversee both short-term and long-term incentive programs
- Daily bank reconciliation, cash flow management, month-end duties
- Process improvement and driving automation initiatives
Your Background
To be considered for this Senior Accountant role, you will be a qualified Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will meet most of the following criteria:
- Have experience managing a P&L
- Ideally from a product-based or inventory-heavy industry
- Have worked in a similar capacity (Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or equivalent etc.)
- Proven examples of process improvements/achievements on resume
- An excellent attitude to challenge the status quo, with great written and verbal communication skills
