About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a registered nurse with expertise as a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary health teams, you will provide comprehensive assessment and care to patients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions. You will also initiate treatment, prescribe medications, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop population-based prevention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions using your knowledge of developmental stages, behavioral sciences, pathophysiology, psychopathology, epidemiology, and evidence-based practice.
- Initiate treatment and prescribe medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards, employer policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals to identify trends and patterns affecting client outcomes.
- Develop and implement population-based prevention strategies, taking into account Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.
- Participate in peer review, program evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- 4 years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).

This role is based at Vancouver Coastal Health and involves working within an interdisciplinary health team.
