We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter responsible for preventative maintenance, faultfinding, and breakdowns on a range of manufacturing equipment. You will work as part of a team that values teamwork and flexibility to assist each other where required. The role requires an experienced 'hands-on' individual who can work day and afternoon shifts and be on call. This position is within the Maintenance Team, located in Dandenong South, reporting directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

- Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.
- Uphold an innovative approach to improve efficiency and performance in all areas.
- Work in a highly dynamic manner to minimize downtime and optimize plant efficiency.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Exercise strong planning and organizational skills.
- Undertake shift work and respond to on-call requirements.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis.
- Contribute to maintaining a zero LTI (Lost Time Injury) site.
- Maintain excellent communication skills.

Required Experience

- Mechanical trade qualifications.
- Maintenance fitter trade qualifications, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing.
- Confined Space certification.
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license.
- Forklift license.
- Knowledge of servicing equipment, including mechanical components, bearings, and pneumatics.
- Experience with maintenance databases.
- Ability to access and reply to emails.

Preferred Experience

- At least 3 years in a food manufacturing environment with compliance standards.
- TIG welding experience.
- Knowledge of interpreting spare parts.
- Experience in maintenance planning.
