Settlements Team Leader

Adelaide, South Australia Plenti Full time
Who is Plenti?

Plenti is a fintech lender, providing faster, fairer loans by leveraging its smart technology. Plenti is a dynamic and innovative business that is growing strongly. By continuing to deliver better customer experiences, Plenti is taking market share from incumbent players in the personal lending, renewable energy, and automotive finance markets.

We are a fast moving and ambitious business that seeks to recruit smart and capable people, who can take ownership of their role to help the business thrive. With over 200 people based in Australia, Plenti is small enough so everyone can make a difference in their role, but we have very big ambitions as a team, as we go about building Australia's best lender.
Plenti is a founder led business that launched in 2014 and is now listed on the ASX, with annual revenue of over $200 million and a loan portfolio of over $2 billion.

What's the role?

Are you a strong people leader with a background in loan settlements and verification? Do you thrive on building team capability, improving processes, and ensuring quality outcomes? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Settlements Team Leader to lead a team of up to 10 talented individuals focused on delivering high-quality verification outcomes. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence across all settlement processes.

You'll take the lead on daily quality assurance activities, monthly reviews, and coaching your team to meet and exceed performance targets. As the primary point of contact for escalations and issue resolution, you'll play a vital role in maintaining trust and efficiency within our settlement operations.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead & Empower – Manage, coach, and develop a team of Verification Officers (including senior roles) to ensure a high level of performance, engagement, and accuracy.

• Drive Quality – Oversee quality assurance checks and ensure all verification activities meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and SLAs.

• Improve Processes – Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or roadblocks in workflows and drive practical solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor & Report – Track key metrics (KPIs), provide performance insights, and present recommendations to leadership for improved outcomes.

• Own Escalations – Be the go-to for resolving verification-related issues, working closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate settlements.

• Support Operations – Manage daily queues, assist with onboarding new team members, and keep operations running smoothly.

What we're looking for:

• 3–5 years of people leadership experience within financial services – ideally in loan settlements or verification.

• A strong understanding of financial regulations, customer verification standards, and risk assessment principles.

• A natural coach and motivator, with a proven ability to build and sustain high-performing teams.

• A continuous improvement mindset, with experience identifying and driving process enhancements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What's life like at Plenti?

Working at Plenti means joining a team that is high-performing, diverse, customer-focused and collaborative. It's a place where everyone can "make it happen" and share in the results and success. If being in a dynamic industry as part of a market-leading fintech sounds like you, then join to help us reshape Australia's financial eco-system for the good.

In return, you will enjoy a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship to take your career further. We offer flexible working and volunteer and study leave to develop your skills. We also have monthly social events, office snacks, company Townhalls and D&I initiatives and events to help you connect with your colleagues.
Plenti is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.

We encourage people from different backgrounds to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people with disabilities. When you apply, let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process so we can accommodate you.
