About the Project Thiess, Yilgarn Iron Ore Project is a Brownfields mining operation that includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range. Koolyanobbing is in the Shire of Yilgarn, Western Australia, 54 km north-northeast of the town of Southern Cross. Thiess are currently seeking applications from experienced Dump Truck Operators to proudly represent our Production Mining Team. In this role, you will: - Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output - Complying with Thiess’s policies and procedures - Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor - Effectively positioning machinery to allow for efficient loading - Setting and maintain high housekeeping standards - Carrying out pre-start checks About you - Minimum of 2 years plus experience as a Dump Truck Operator in production mining operation - Equivalent to or specific experience operating Komatsu 785 is essential - Experience in a hard rock mining operation desirable - Valid Australian Drivers License - Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times What Thiess can do for you - 2:1 roster (7D7N7RR) | FIFO Perth to Southern Cross plus a 30 minute bus ride to site - DIDO roster from surrounding towns - Salary sacrifice options available for applicants outside WA - Permanent full-time role with development and upskilling opportunities - Full camp facilities provided - Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products About Us We partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
