Overview

- Part Time, Ongoing Contract
- 32 hours per fortnight
- An additional ongoing 16 hours, for flu season between April - September

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

The Staff Health Nurse is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive vaccination clinic in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Guidelines. Maintaining compliance with infection prevention and control requirements in relevant state and/or national accreditation standards and guidelines.

Annual leave relief covering the Infection Prevention and Control team, including Staff Health service, and Hand Hygiene coordinator is also a requirement of this role.

To be eligible for this position you must have a Nurse Immuniser Certificate.

Region

- Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast.
- An easy 2 ½ hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.
