Job Title:Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker

About the Role:

Our client is seeking skilled Metal Fabricators / Boilermakers for a casual ongoing opportunity. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components according to customer specifications. You will work on a variety of projects, from structural steelwork to precision welding and fabricating for food industry equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium components.
- Operate workshop machinery, including lathes, press brakes, plate benders, and plasma cutters.
- Perform TIG, MIG, and aluminium welding to a high standard.
- Inspect and test fabricated products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Work on-site for installations and maintenance when required.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
- Be able to manage a team if supplied to you on larger projects.
- Work autonomously without supervision.

Requirements:

- Trade qualification in metal fabrication, boiler making, or a related field.
- Experience in TIG, MIG, or aluminium welding.
- Proficiency in operating fabrication machinery.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Willingness to travel to Tailem Bend daily or relocate closer if necessary
- A forklift and/or EWP license is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in welding or metal fabrication.
- Experience with CNC machinery and CAD software.
- Knowledge of industry-specific fabrication standards.
- Full Driver Licence (Preferred).
- Workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking tools.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Standing for extended periods and manual handling of materials.
