Based at Kewdale and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor - Galv, the Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning and procurement of spare parts to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize machine downtime. This role involves maintaining safety stock levels, authorizing MRP processes, and contributing to ERP system improvements for automation. Key responsibilities include purchasing, supplier and freight management, inventory control, and quality assurance. The coordinator works closely with maintenance supervisors, planners, and suppliers, and plays a vital role in operational projects and stock takes.

Responsibilities

- Build relationships with key personnel to develop a mutually beneficial relationship to monitor critical spares requirement for Kewdale.
- Ensure proper levels of spares are maintained as per our Stocking Policy.
- Spares buying, tender, negotiate and Procure spares as required by business.
- Maintenance of Navision system
- Freight Management and reconciliation of freight invoices associates with spares,
- Chasing payments and assisting in forward payment planning
- Accurate maintenance tracker for all incoming spares Analyse, reconcile, and update stock takes for all spares and critical spares
- Participate in operational improvement projects, i.e., consolidation of spares in central location

About You

You bring a strong background in procurement and inventory management, ideally with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You possess solid knowledge of ERP systems (such as Navision), demand planning, and supplier management. Your proactive and customer-focused mindset will support continuous improvement initiatives, especially in automating planning processes. Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with manufacturing processes and familiarity with Demand Solutions software will be highly advantageous.
