NEWGEN CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is currently seeking a Carpenter for a full‑time contract with a possible extension to a permanent role.
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: Bacchus mrsh, VIC 3340
Experience required: Minimum 1 year in the nominated role.
Task & Responsibilities
- Examine drawings and specifications to identify necessary materials, sizes, and installation methods.
- Arrange and pick timbers and materials, and create layouts accordingly.
- Trim materials to required dimensions, assemble, and securely fasten them using suitable techniques.
- Construct frameworks and roof framing, lay sub‑flooring and floorboards, and verify the precision of structures.
- Affix fascia panels, cover roofs, and install exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames.
- Put together prepared wood to create structures and fittings ready for setup.
- Carve wood joints to ensure the stability of structures.
- Build concrete formwork when required.
- Rectify existing fittings as necessary.
- Utilize alternative materials like plastic laminates, perspex, and metals for specialized projects.
- Build, set up, install, refurbish, and mend structures and fixtures utilizing wood, plywood, wallboard, and diverse materials.
Qualification & Experience
- Relevant qualification (Cert 3 in Carpentry) and work experience required and preferred.
Salary: $80,500 plus Super
