Overview

Infrastructure Specialist
Length: 24 months + 3 x 12-month extensions
Location of work: Canberra

The Infrastructure Specialist will work on a range of complex projects, transformations, data migrations and other programs, utilising a variety of technologies including Oracle, Microsoft Power Platform, Virtual Desktop infrastructure, and Cloud technology among others.

Key Responsibilities

- Designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. This includes physical and virtual servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments

- Ensuring reliability, security, and performance of the infrastructure to support business operations

- Design and Implementation - planning, designing, and implementing new infrastructure components or solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud services

- Troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of existing infrastructure

- Monitoring and Optimization - proactively monitoring infrastructure performance, identifying potential problems, and optimizing systems for efficiency and performance

- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access

- Creating and maintaining documentation for infrastructure components, configurations, and procedures
