Responsibilities

- Operate heavy rigid and multi‑combination trucks to transport grain and general loads.

- Safely position trucks at loading docks or designated areas for efficient loading and unloading.

- Use equipment such as forklifts, conveyor belts, or hydraulic lifts to load and unload grain safely and efficiently.

- Conduct routine truck inspections (e.g., brakes, tyres, lights) before and after trips to ensure mechanical fitness.

- Adhere to safety protocols during loading/unloading, including the use of correct PPE and safe work procedures.

- Calculate and distribute cargo weight evenly within legal limits to ensure safe handling and compliance with regulations.

- Properly secure and cover grain loads to prevent spillage or contamination during transport.

- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and vehicle logbooks.

- Comply with road safety and company transport policies.

Requirements

- licence.

- Minimum 1-3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in a commercial setting.

- Sound knowledge of WA road networks and transport regulations.

- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.

- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliable service.
