A long term contract opportunity is available for an experienced SAP S/4HANA HCM Solution Architect to join a major enterprise ERP transformation program based in Brisbane. This role is key to delivering a future-ready Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll solution within a high-profile SAP S/4HANA implementation.

You'll play a critical part in designing, guiding, and overseeing the end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring it aligns with enterprise architecture standards, program goals, and long-term business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA HCM and Payroll architecture, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Deliver solution architecture deliverables including Technical & Functional Architecture, Data & Integration Architecture, and migration strategies.
- Facilitate design workshops and architecture forums to define and validate architecture decisions.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to align architectural direction and ensure design consistency.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, data teams, project managers, and technical leads to ensure effective delivery.
- Provide input into testing strategies and support assurance activities to validate architecture integrity.
- Contribute to governance, reporting, and design documentation to ensure high-quality and traceable outcomes.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- 10+ years' experience in SAP, with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA HCM, Payroll, Time and Leave modules.
- Proven capability in designing enterprise-grade SAP HCM solutions, including configuration, customisation, and data migration.
- Strong experience with architectural frameworks and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), and tools supporting SAP Cloud Platform/BTP.
- Demonstrated success in leading architecture discussions, translating technical concepts for business stakeholders, and managing solution alignment across complex programs.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Experience working in large-scale ERP transformation programs, preferably in complex enterprise or government environments.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations while delivering robust, scalable, and supportable architecture.
