ARRCS are currently sourcing an experienced and qualified Home Care Team Leaderto join their team within the APY Lands on a permanent full-time basis working 38 hours per week and attracts a salary of $37.48 - $38.59 / hour gross base (annual of $74,068 - $76,257 gross base) dependent on skills and previous experience.

This role is located within South Australia’s APY Lands and will see you working within APY communities including Pukatja, Pipalyatjara, Mimili, Kaltjiti, Iwantja and Amata.

The role of Home Care Team Leader will see you providing leadership, mentoring and support to the Support Coordinators ensuring that our Home Care Packages are established, implemented and reviewed in accordance with our consumers preferences and assessed needs.

The role requires you to:

- Monitor and review current systems and processes with the view of improving the internal and external procedures for home care.
- Coordinate and analyse data for monthly reporting requirements
- Ensure team adhere to funded services within the clients plan. Optimising and reviewing services.
- Provides quality client service, including interacting with clients, answering client enquiries and effectively handling client complaints.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to community program compliance model.
- Develop trusting, positive and professional relationship with clients and service providers both internal and external.
- Support clients in facilitating their independence by enabling empowerment and choice, and the promotion of personal resilience and social inclusion.

This role would suit a positive and passionate person who has a strong understanding of Home Care legislation and client requirements. You will enjoy supporting a team and providing leadership, guidance and training opportunities. You will hold a minimum of an AQF Certificate III in Individual support.

Skills & experience

To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:

- Minimum AQF Certificate III or higher qualification or equivalent in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Care (minimum course duration 6 months) or 2 years or work experience to substitute for the formal qualification. You must also provide evidence of at least 120 hours practical experience within the training you completed.
- At least one year of relevant work experience (post qualification) undertaken in the last 3 years.
- Previous work in a Team Leader or similar role with preference within a Home Care setting.
- Previous work in a team within Community Services, such as Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Housing or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of culturally sensitive practice when working with Aboriginal and Torre Strait islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Prior use of Microsoft Office suite and other online client reporting systems.
- Ability to respond and adapt to competing priorities whilst working unsupervised.
- Empathy with Aged People, their families, and Personal Carers.
