Responsibilities

- Collaborate across project teams and disciplines to develop creative, practical design concepts and solutions aligned with project goals.
- Prepare, present, and document interior design concepts from programming through construction administration.
- Participate in design reviews, maintaining a strong eye for detail and quality throughout.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment — open to both mentoring and being mentored.
- Advocate for design excellence and contribute to the studio’s creative culture.
- Engage in networking and business development opportunities to help grow our client base and expand HDR’s impact.
- Support and promote HDR’s brand within project teams, with clients, and in the broader industry.

Qualifications and experience that support success in this role are expected to align with the following:

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in interior design, or closely related discipline.
- Typically, 3-6 years’ experience in interior design and architectural documentation.
- Strong technical skills and solid understanding of interior design documentation workflows.
- Proficiency in Revit – required.
- Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper is a plus.
- Experience in SketchUp & Enscape - required.
- Experience using Photoshop & InDesign - required.
- A collaborative mindset and positive, proactive approach to challenges.
- Passion for the sectors HDR Architecture is known for - Federal, Healthcare, Tech/Media/Telecom & Data, Education & Science is a plus.
- A proactive, adaptable working style and willingness to contribute across different sectors and project types as required.
- Australian Citizenship (Baseline or higher Australian Government Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain - required).
