u&u Recruitment Partners are pleased to partner with a global financial group who are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Enterprise Governance to lead and enhance their governance frameworks. Sydney based.
This pivotal role ensures robust oversight, transparency, and accountability across all levels of the business, while supporting the Board, Committees, and senior leadership teams. The successful candidate will drive best practice governance initiatives, strengthen regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and embed a culture of strong governance that supports effective decision‑making.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance governance frameworks to support strategic objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness across APAC and EMEA;
- Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring high-quality Board and Committee operations, including agenda planning, delegations of authority compliance, minute-taking, and director onboarding;
- Manage subsidiary governance, including regulated entities, de‑registration processes, and global secretariat functions;
- Provide strategic governance advice to senior leaders and support high-quality Board and Committee outcomes; and
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with governance‑related codes, obligations, and reporting requirements.
About You
You will be a seasoned governance leader with proven experience in a senior company secretarial, governance, or legal role in a regulated environment. You will bring strong technical knowledge, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and support decision‑making at the highest levels.
You will bring a proven ability to drive governance uplift and transformation and possess corporate governance qualifications (e.g. GIA, AICD or equivalent).
