An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Data Analyst to join a forward-thinking organisation in Brisbane.
As a Sales Data Analyst based in Brisbane, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s commercial success by delivering high-impact analytics that inform every aspect of the sales process. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring their integrity before transforming them into insightful dashboards that guide strategic decisions. You will work hand-in-hand with sales leaders to interpret trends in customer behaviour and product performance while proactively identifying areas for improvement or growth. By applying advanced statistical techniques and predictive modelling tools, you will forecast future outcomes with confidence—enabling the business to stay ahead of market changes. Your ability to communicate complex findings in an accessible way will ensure that your recommendations are not only understood but acted upon. This is an opportunity for you to use your technical acumen in SQL, Power BI, Python/R, and cloud data platforms while collaborating with diverse teams who share your commitment to excellence.
- Collect, clean, and validate large volumes of sales data from various sources including CRMs, ERP systems, and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency across all business units.
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards using leading business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to visualise key sales performance indicators for stakeholders at all levels.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports that highlight variances between actual sales results and forecasts or targets, providing clear visibility into business performance.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into customer buying behaviour, product trends, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities or potential risks within the sales pipeline.
- Perform cohort and segmentation analysis to support targeted marketing campaigns and enhance customer engagement strategies.
- Utilise statistical methods and machine learning techniques to forecast future sales trends and revenue streams, ensuring the business remains agile in a competitive marketplace.
- Build predictive models such as churn risk assessments, customer lifetime value estimations, and lead conversion likelihoods to inform strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for sales leaders—supporting pricing adjustments, new product bundles, or territory prioritisation based on solid evidence.
- Integrate CRM data from platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot with analytics solutions to provide a holistic view of customer interactions and sales outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless data flow and alignment of business objectives.
