The Role

ABC NewsRadio is seeking a skilled Journalist to join its dynamic live rolling news team.

The Job

- Prepare, produce, and present compelling audio content for national audiences.

- Contribute to editorial discussions and pitch engaging stories that reflect Australia’s diversity.

- Research, set up, write and conduct pre-recorded and live interviews.

- Write news stories and edit tape items for broadcast.

- Stay abreast of major national and international news events.

About You

You'll have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.

- A passion for delivering breaking news and chasing down the big stories of the day.

- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

- A strong broadcast voice.

- Good editorial, organisational and communication skills.

- The ability to work collaboratively in a small team and to contribute to a positive work environment.

- Availability to work a variety of shifts across the day, including on weekends.
