About therole

As theAssistant Supervisor at Ardrossan, you'll be a key leaderhelping to drive the success of one of our essential grain-handlingterminals on the Yorke Peninsula. This role blends hands-onoperational work with strategic coordination and teamleadership—making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety,challenge, and real-world impact.

You'll workclosely with the Supervisor to lead a diverse team of permanent andseasonal employees. From overseeing grain receival and storageduring the peak of harvest, to managing outloading logistics andgrain quality throughout the year, you'll be involved inevery aspect of the supply chain.

This is arole where you'll be expected to lead from the front. Whetheryou're mentoring a seasonal worker or stepping in to helpwith a technical issue, your influence will shape both the cultureand performance of the Ardrossan site.

Duties

- Lead andsupervise daily operations across the Ardrossanterminal, ensuring all grain receival, storage, outloadingactivities and ship loading are carried out safely,efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Supportthe Supervisor in planning and delivering operational targets,including logistics coordination and workforceplanning.
- Coach andmentor a team of permanent and seasonal staff,promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and highperformance.
- Collaboratewith key stakeholders including growers, carriers,contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth andprofessional service delivery.
- Championsafety on site by conducting checks, reportinghazards, supporting investigations, and maintaining compliancewith Bunge's safety policies.
- Operate andoversee grain-handling equipment, support preventativemaintenance, and escalate mechanical or infrastructure issuesas needed.
- Assist withplanning for harvest operations, including sitepreparation, intake coordination, staff training, and storagecapacity management.
- Contributeto continuous improvement by maintaining site records,participating in audits, and sharing insights to driveperformance and efficiency.
- Assist ininitiatives, sharing ideas, participating in auditsand improvement projects, and occasionally travelling toprovide support.

Aboutyou

- Proven leadershipexperience in operations, ideally within grain handling,logistics, agriculture, or a similar industry.
- Strong focus onsafety, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Hands-on, practicalapproach with the ability to lead by example.
- Effectivecommunicator with strong interpersonal skills to manage teamsand build relationships.
- Skilled in planning,coordinating, and prioritising tasks in a dynamic, seasonalenvironment.
- Confidentproblem-solver with sound decision-makingabilities.
- Motivated,adaptable, and ready to take ownership of a key site in thesupply chain.
- Tech-savvy andcomfortable using operational and reportingsystems.
- Currentdriver's licence.
