Expression of Interest – Business Traineeship Opportunities 2026

Western Power is inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are keen to launch their careers in business administration with one of Western Australia’s leading organisations.

About the Traineeship Opportunity

By registering their interest now, prospective candidates will be among the first notified when Western Power’s next Business Traineeship Program opens in October. This 12-month program offers an entry-level pathway into the organisation, combining practical, hands-on experience with formal training to achieve a Certificate III in Business.

This opportunity is particularly suited to recent school leavers, especially those who have completed their studies within the past two years.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal future candidates will typically demonstrate:

- Experience in customer service or administrative roles (paid, school-based, or volunteer)
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A reliable, punctual attitude and eagerness to learn
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Minimum C grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent
- Residency in Western Australia and status as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willingness to provide a National Police Clearance
