Join our Whyalla ELC as Assistant Director from 21 July 2025 in a permanent part-time or full-time role (4 or 5 days—your choice). You’ll work closely with our Director and Educational Leader to shape meaningful learning experiences, support a small, passionate team, and build strong, positive relationships with children and families. If you know your way around the NQF and EYLF and love seeing little minds thrive—we’d love to hear from you

Relocation Assistance

To help make your move to Whyalla smooth and stress-free, we offer an attractive Relocation Assistance Package. This includes financial support with relocation expenses, a relocation allowance paid during your first year, and providing access to a fully furnished local home at the start of your contract—giving you time to settle in and find your own place. Package details will be discussed with the successful applicant.

About you

You are warm, proactive and thrive in a leadership support role. You’re passionate about early childhood education and creating a safe, nurturing space where children and educators can thrive. You bring strong organisational and interpersonal skills, enjoy mentoring others, and are confident in supporting the Director with daily operations, compliance, and team coordination. You’re ready to make a positive impact on the lives of children, families, and staff in a close-knit and values-led community.

We are looking for someone who:

- Possesses a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA approved qualification.
- Is a committed Christian who is active in church fellowship to join our vibrant Christian community.
- Has an outstanding attention to detail.
- Has the ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has a current Working With Children Check, have completed Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse & Neglect in Education & Care (RRHAN-EC) training, and Protective Practices training or be willing to complete these upon commencement.
