Overview

Role: Early Childhood Teacher – Early Intervention and Inclusion

Location: Blue Haven – NSW 2662

Centre: Goodstart Blue Haven

Employment Type: Fixed term 2 years. Full-time 38 Hours p/w

Pay: $43.55-$66.06 Per hour + Super

Responsibilities

- Assist to provide the best start to a child’s life. Make a lasting impact while growing an incredible career
- Collaborate with educators to implement inclusive practices, develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and coach/modeled teaching to build educator capability
- Work with the centre leadership team, educators, families, community organisations, Local Elders, schools, and service providers to embed quality teaching, equity, social inclusion, and evidence-informed early intervention
- Champion respectful family partnerships and draw on professional and lived experience to build inclusive learning communities
- Support the team to embed adaptive, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches that honour each child’s communication style and developmental pathway
- Help facilitate access and participation in early childhood education and local services to support better outcomes for children and families

You’ll need

- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
- Proficient NESA accreditation
- Qualifications in Special Education/Inclusive Education (desirable)
- 7-10 years in an inclusive education role
- Strong knowledge of neurodiversity and inclusive education principles
- Experience working with children aged birth–6 with additional needs including trauma-related, behavioural, medical, and developmental needs
- Current NSW WWC Check
