Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - K-6 for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Muludja Remote Community School is determined to provide an empowering start to learning in early childhood and continue to facilitate the best opportunity to excel in academic improvement. We work purposefully to instil confidence in our students. The school offers education to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, where the WA Curriculum is used to plan, assess and report on student learning. We are an active member of the Kimberley Schools Project, and our staff are trained in and deliver targeted learning in Literacy and Mathematics. Two-Way Learning experiences are instilled in everyday culturally responsive practices.

Muludja Remote Community is a small indigenous community, situated on the flood plains of the beautiful Margaret River. It is a quiet place, set in vibrant bushland approximately 35km by gravel road, east of Fitzroy Crossing. The Traditional Owners of the land are the Gooniyandi people, who were originally located on the Fossil Downs Station side of the river. Muludja is a welcoming, strong community passionate about our County, our People, our sports teams and learning.

Ideally, suitable applicants should be trauma-informed, student-centred practitioners who build positive relationships with students, staff and community members. Building a sense of being, belonging and becoming is fundamental to our context. Suitable applicants ideally will have a passion and dedication for learning and teaching in a remote context.

Suitable applicants should be enthusiastic, driven team players, who participate in school planning and curriculum development, contributing to our positive culture of sharing and collegiate support.

Applicants suitable for Remote Teaching Contracts, should have strong Literacy and Numeracy curriculum knowledge and skills, and a commitment to improving student achievement for every child. Suitable applicants should demonstrate understanding of teaching for impact, through the effective use of whole-school and individualised approaches, early intervention, explicit teaching and instructional practices. The integrated use of Information and Communication Technologies and knowledge of Two Way Science is favourable.

A commitment to building a sound understanding of the cultural context of the Muludja Community on Gooniyandi Country and the importance of a positive relationship between the school and community is highly desirable, with a commitment to the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
