About the role
As the Port Planner in Newcastle, reporting to the Senior Port Planner, you will be responsible for producing a plan for the day-to-day operations at GrainCorp Port Terminals. The primary goal is to schedule the efficient, safe, and timely movement of cargo through the port consistent with Port Protocols and quality management systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Supply Chain team and external customers, to manage the movement of commodities into/out-of Port
- Manage rail and road movements into/out-of the terminal for all domestic and export customers
- Collaborate with the Operations team, Maintenance and Capital teams and Pest Control team during planning
- Generate reports required to communicate Plan with relevant stakeholders
- Plan labour hours to cost effectively execute weekly work plans
