- Contribute your talents to our success – support a skilled team of creative Arts Marketers for Kingston Arts

- Exciting 1 day per week (0.2 FTE) opportunity, offered as part of a job share arrangement on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract

- Band 5, $81,188 - $93,494 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience) plus superannuation

- Location: Cheltenham

About the team

As part of the Creative Activities team, you’ll help to promote our Arts & Culture offerings across our three venues and help shape communications to a vibrant local community.

About this opportunity

As an Arts Marketing and Development Officer, you’ll work closely with the Visual Arts team who program Art Exhibitions across our three Gallery spaces, and with Community Arts & Culture projects that create opportunities for participation in the Arts across the City of Kingston.

Other responsibilities include

- Assist in the planning, development and management of multiple concurrent creative campaigns

- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across Council departments to leverage marketing opportunities and channels

- Draft and schedule a variety of digital and traditional marketing content, including social media, email newsletters, web pages, digital and print advertising

- Create, ideate, and source creative materials for engaging content in‑line with brand identity and audience needs.

What you’ll bring

- An ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and willingness to adapt to unique challenges and situations.

- Experience in developing and delivering multiple concurrent promotional projects, targeted to diverse audiences, across a range of digital and traditional channels.

- Demonstrated skill in creating bespoke, engaging collateral, whilst maintaining brand identity and personality.

- Team player committed to creating safe and inclusive culture, where individuality and creativity thrive.

- 5+ years’ experience in creative marketing or communications role, preferably in Arts & Culture, events, or entertainment industry.
