Overview

Are you an experienced Mental Health Clinician looking for a rewarding locum opportunity in regional Western Australia? We're seeking passionate professionals for locum travel contracts across the Goldfields Region including Older Persons, Adult, and Child & Adolescent Community Mental Health. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong skills in assessment, triage, and case management.

About the Role: We are seeking qualified Mental Health Clinicians - Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, or Occupational Therapists for short to medium-term locum contracts in regional and remote locations. You'll collaborate with local health services to deliver high-quality mental health care, while enjoying the opportunity to travel, expand your clinical experience, and receive competitive compensation with accommodation support.

Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based mental health care in your area of specialty
- Conduct mental health assessments, develop individualised care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community organisations, and support services
- Respond to crises and manage complex mental health presentations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Specialty Areas Available

- Older Persons Mental Health - Cognitive and emotional support, dementia care, and transitional planning
- Adult Community Mental Health - Case management, psychosocial support, and relapse prevention
- Child & Adolescent Mental Health - Developmental assessments, family-focused care, and early intervention

Requirements to apply

- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or a related field
- Current Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., AHPRA, AASW)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in mental health, with demonstrated skills in assessment, triage, and case management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working across diverse age groups preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and adapt to new environments
- Full Australian working rights
