Band 6 Specialist Community Nurse - Overnight Nursing
Full Time, 9 month Fixed Term Contract
Are you passionate about nursing and providing health care in people's own homes? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our Overnight Nursing Team, providing high-quality support, treatment, and advice to individuals in need. Working within national and local frameworks, professional guidelines, and policies, you'll make a real difference when it’s needed most.
As a clinical leader during night shifts, you will:
- Deliver safe, person-centred care in a quiet but crucial time
- Support and guide junior nurses and support workers
- Lead by example within your professional discipline
- Offer expert clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure continuity of care through high standards and clear communication
Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Community Nurse you will care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work to help us continue to change things for the better. We feel passionate that everyone should feel valued when they come into contact with our organisation, whether that's you, someone we care for or the wider community we operate in.
You will put to use your strong communication and organisation skills, along with a flexible approach, to ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.

Job responsibilities
As a Band 6 Specialist Community Nurse, you’ll be part of our Overnight Nursing Team.

Our ideal candidate will be / will have:
- As this role requires travel, a driving license and access to a car is required for this role.
- Post graduate community qualification e.g. community specialist practitioner
- Recognised assessing and supervising students in practice qualification.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Knowledge of legislation affecting professional practice
- Experience of applying research-based information to practice
- Non-medical prescriber
- Up to date community experience
- Significant experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Teaching experience
- Knowledge of recruitment, selection & appraisal system
- Setting and monitoring standards of care
