About the Role:

- The Enrolled Nurse (EN) provides high-quality, patient-centred care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- The role involves assisting with pre- and post-operative care, monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications (as per scope of practice), and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.

About You:

- Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients, including wound care, mobilization, and pain management.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of patients before and after surgery.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse.
- Administer medications as per scope of practice and hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Assist with patient education on post-operative care and discharge planning.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and workplace health and safety standards.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.

- One of Sydney's premier private hospitals.
- Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
- The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
- Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
